Motorola Charm -- hands on with T-Mobile's tiny messenger

That little bitty phone you see in that big meaty paw is the new Motorola Charm from T-Mobile.  The form factor is a first for Android, and one many of us (myself included) have been looking forward to.  While it may not be running the latest and greatest hardware, and many would say that MotoBlur hinders it, I'm going to go forward and be optomistic about what it can, and does bring to the table. continue reading »»»

Motorola DROID 2 has lowest smartphone return rate on Verizon Wireless?

On the fence about the Motorola DROID 2? Wondering if people are happy with the device? Well, we have been told that the Motorola DROID 2, according to one of our connects, has the lowest smartphone return rate on Verizon Wireless. Not only are people apparently thrilled with the device, but that pesky fluctuation issue with the antenna doesn’t seem to be a problem either, as we have also been informed that the DROID 2 has one of the lowest dropped call rates on the carrier. Who knew.

IFA trade Fair is going on in a full swing and we have seen a lot of Android tablets till now. So we decided to bring an Android tablet round up for you.

Samsung Galaxy Tab: The Samsung Galaxy Tab is an Android tablet with a 7-inch, 1024×600-pixel touchscreen. It’s running Android 2.2 Froyo, has Wi-Fi, HSDPA, Bluetooth 3.0 and DLNA networking. It has front and rear cameras for video calling, with a 3MP job and LED flash on the back. The Tab has a Cortex A8 1GHz processor.

Toshiba Folio 100: Folio 100 will ship with the Google Android 2.2 operating system, a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel capacitive touchscreen display and an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. It has 16GB of internal storage, HDMI output, a 1.3MP camera, USB, WiFi, and Bluetooth capabilities and a 3G model will be released in early 2011. continue reading »»»

From the forums: Custom boot animation

Fresh from our Droid X forums, Natemz brings us a couple of cool custom boot animations. On the left, a spinning Android logo. On the right another for some little Android site we've heard a little bit about. You're going to need to be rooted, and there are a couple steps involved.
